StdntOS is currently being prepared for commercial release. These Terms describe the intended use and licensing of StdntOS 1.x. They will be reviewed again before paid checkout and digital product delivery become available.
Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use apply when you access or use StdntOS.com, the StdntOS interactive browser demo, or the StdntOS desktop application.
By using the website or interactive demo, or by downloading, installing, or using a purchased copy of StdntOS, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not download, install, or use the software.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or waive a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or waived under applicable law.
Website and interactive demo
StdntOS.com provides information about the product and may provide access to an interactive browser demonstration of the StdntOS interface.
The demo is provided for evaluation and demonstration purposes. It includes sample academic information so visitors can experience the product before purchasing.
Changes made in the browser demo should not be relied upon as permanent academic records and do not transfer into a purchased installation of StdntOS.
StdntOS software licence
Purchasing StdntOS gives you a licence to use the software. It does not transfer ownership of the StdntOS source code, visual design, branding, intellectual property, or underlying software rights.
Subject to these Terms, a valid purchase grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the purchased version of StdntOS for personal use on devices owned or controlled by that purchaser.
You may not resell, sublicense, rent, commercially distribute, or provide unauthorized copies of StdntOS to another person.
Versions and updates
The current product offering is described as StdntOS 1.x.
StdntOS 1.x is intended to be sold as a one-time purchase rather than through a recurring monthly or annual subscription.
A valid purchaser may continue using the purchased version subject to these Terms and applicable law.
Updates, maintenance releases, bug fixes, or improvements may be provided from time to time. We do not promise that every feature will remain unchanged indefinitely or that software updates will continue forever.
A purchase of StdntOS 1.x does not automatically include a future major product generation such as StdntOS 2.x unless expressly stated otherwise.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for reviewing information entered into StdntOS for accuracy.
This includes information such as:
- semester and course dates;
- class schedules;
- assignment and exam deadlines;

- study plans and calendar entries.
You remain responsible for meeting the official requirements established by your school, instructors, syllabi, learning-management systems, registrar, or other official academic sources.
Your data and backups
StdntOS is designed primarily around locally stored application data rather than requiring a StdntOS cloud account.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device and maintaining appropriate backups of information important to you.
StdntOS should not be treated as the only copy of critical academic information.
Important deadlines, course requirements, schedules, grades, and academic records should also be verified against official academic sources.

You may use StdntOS for lawful personal purposes consistent with these Terms.
You may not:
- distribute unauthorized copies of StdntOS;

Ownership and intellectual property
StdntOS and its original software, interface, visual design, branding, text, graphics, and related materials remain the property of their respective rights holders.
Purchasing a licence gives you permission to use the software as described in these Terms. It does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying product.
You remain responsible for and retain your rights in original information that you enter into StdntOS.
Third-party software and services
StdntOS may rely on third-party software, components, or services for functions such as operating-system integration, fonts, website hosting, payment processing, digital delivery, and software distribution.
Third-party products and services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Our Privacy Policy provides additional information about privacy and third-party services.
Academic information and calculations
StdntOS is an organizational and planning tool. It is not an official school record, registrar system, learning-management system, or academic advising service.
Grade calculations, What-if calculations, GPA information, workload indicators, schedules, reminders, and other outputs depend on the information entered into the application.
These outputs should be treated as planning tools and should be checked against official information supplied by the applicable institution or instructor.
If information shown by StdntOS differs from an official syllabus, instructor instruction, grade record, institutional calendar, or school system, the official source should be followed.
Purchases, delivery, and refunds
Before a purchase is completed, StdntOS will display the applicable product description, price, currency, supported platform and system requirements, delivery information, and other material purchase information.
Any voluntary money-back guarantee offered by StdntOS will be described in the Refund Policy and in the relevant purchase information.
The Refund Policy and these Terms do not replace or restrict any cancellation, refund, delivery, warranty, or other remedy required by applicable consumer law.

We may update, correct, improve, modify, or discontinue website content, demo functionality, software features, or supporting services where reasonably necessary.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, operating-system changes, hosting issues, security concerns, or other technical circumstances.
Any material effect on rights associated with an already completed purchase remains subject to applicable law.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StdntOS is provided without a guarantee that the software will always operate without interruption, contain no errors, or suit every individual academic workflow.
StdntOS does not guarantee any particular grade, GPA, academic result, course outcome, graduation result, or improvement in academic performance.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, condition, representation, consumer right, or remedy that applicable law does not permit to be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StdntOS will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising solely from the use of or inability to use the product, including losses resulting from information entered incorrectly or information a user failed to back up.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, aggregate direct liability arising specifically from a purchased copy of StdntOS will not exceed the amount paid for the product giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply where applicable law prohibits the limitation or exclusion of liability.
Suspension or termination
Access to website services or a software licence may be restricted where reasonably necessary in response to fraud, unlawful distribution, material breach of these Terms, abuse of services, or a security threat.
Any restriction remains subject to rights and remedies required by applicable law.
Governing law
StdntOS is based in Manitoba, Canada.
These Terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
Nothing in this section is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or remedies that apply under the laws of another jurisdiction and cannot legally be waived.
Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as the website, software, checkout system, digital-delivery model, or other supporting services change.
The date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised version is published.
Changes will not be used to retroactively remove rights that applicable law does not allow us to remove.
Contact
A dedicated business, support, and legal contact address will be published before StdntOS begins accepting paid purchases.
Questions about these Terms can then be submitted using the contact information published through StdntOS.
